Living with feline diabetes

involves getting up at 5ish am to feed molly and jake, then stumble back to bed only to be awoken 10 minutes later by jake batting at my face and molly kissing my nose to let them back in under the covers. 2 hours later the alarm goes off and up we get to face the day.  Testing begins around 8 am downstairs in the dining room followed by dosing depending on her blood sugar levels.  molly receives her dose while tucked into her cozy bed on the couch. (poor thing)(LOL). work or errands follow.  By the time i get home, brian has fed them again. And around 8pm we do the dance again. Except this time I get tucked into bed. yay.

Many thanks to our parents and in-laws (vice versa) for helping us with all of the many big and small details in the joys of remodeling. without your help, we would be definitely crazier than we already are.

buying a house....

what they don't tell you is how hard it is to get peel and stick tiles out of drawers that were previously coated with contact paper from the 1970's. so hard to remove...even dad was having issues with it....Dynamite was considered many times.

but things are moving very well with the demolition and rebuild of the house. pictures to come.

internet

As some of you know, we have not had internet access at the house for going on 3 months. I cannot describe how frustrating this is. But, next week we might have it back. YYYYYaaaayyyy!

In order to better communicate with my siblings (which i never see and occaisionally talk to) i have decided to start a blog in which to better coexist. i know i am solitary by nature (mom prefers 'independent') but i realize i miss my family and they probably wonder what i am up to every once in a while. brian is constantly doing things so i will also try to update that as well. but this may very well turn into a animal, garden, hair blog. just to warn u.
